Limited Lifetime Warranty

What is Covered?

Crescent Kayaks warrants that each kayak we produce, including all components, shall be free from faulty workmanship and defective materials for a period of one year from the original date of purchase, except for the hull which is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

This warranty applies only to kayaks purchased from an authorized Crescent Kayak dealer and only to the original purchaser. It is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. Normal wear and tear is not covered.

What is Not Covered?

The warranty only covers manufacturing defects that affect the performance of the product. It does not cover demo kayaks, prototypes, or kayaks used for commercial purposes.

Exclusions include but are not limited to:

Damage from structural or dimensional alterations or modifications
Sharp objects or dragging over rough surfaces
Extreme weather, heat, or environmental conditions
Rolling or flipping the kayak
Normal wear and tear (including scuppers and kiss-offs)
Excessive exposure to sunlight
Use of scupper carts, stake-out poles, or any objects placed in scupper holes
Unauthorized modifications or repairs
Improper storage, maintenance, or care
Use in commercial, rental, or teaching environments
Towing of any kind
Accident, improper use, neglect, or mishandling
Damage from J-cradles or ratchet straps (not recommended for our hull design)
Cosmetic defects such as surface pitting, color variations, or minor weld marks

Suggested Storage & Transport

To prevent hull warping, store and transport your kayak flat and upside down on the gunwales. Use racks or straps placed approximately one-third of the way in from the bow and stern. Avoid over-tightening cam straps around the hull.

Storing or transporting the kayak hull-side down can lead to warping due to pressure, temperature changes, or improper support.

No Other Warranties

The express warranty stated above is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or design.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Crescent Kayaks’ liability exceed the original purchase price of the product. Crescent Kayaks shall not be liable for any special, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of use, even if advised of such possibilities.
