2nd Annual Holiday Paddle at Canyon Lake

Join us for the 2nd Annual Holiday Paddle and Picnic at Canyon Lake!
Come out and paddle in your festive Holiday gear! Decorate your board or kayak and pack a picnic!
Meet at Acacia Recreation Site at 9:30 AM. Paddles wet by 10:00 AM. The route is always different depending on the wind and weather. We will either paddle to the end of Tortilla Creek or Boulder Creek, enjoy a socially distant picnic together. Last year we enjoyed some waterfalls and explored the collection pools at the top of Boulder Creek.
The event is free. Bring your own paddleboard, kayak, paddle gear, Tonto Parking Pass and food and drink.
If you need rental gear, please click the ticket link above and we will bring your rental gear for you.
While this paddle is considered an “all-levels” event, it will be taking place on open deep water that is cold. Participants must be proficient swimmers and be prepared for immersion. Personal floatation devices (pfds) are required to be worn.
Disclaimer & Assumption of Liability:
Stand up paddleboarding and kayaking, like all water sports, have exposure to inherent risks and dangers. All paddlers (participants and their accompanied dependents/guests) are responsible for their own safety during this event. It is the paddlers responsibility to know their limits and that of their equipment for the duration of the event, along with varying unforeseen weather conditions and terrain hazards. Participation is completely voluntary and all participants, including dependents/guests, voluntarily accept any and all responsibility.
